Christmas Pudding

I had a brilliant time whilst away with my crafting friends & the cottage was beautiful. Very quaint & full of character.
You should have seen the mess that 5 crafters make with paper everywhere etc etc, but when we left you wouldnt have known we had been there. We visited Sir Stamp A Lot on the way up & Janice laid on tea & biscuits for us & I also met Laurie from DesignerDiva. It was lovely to meet her in person as we are on the same DT together. We also visited Hobbyhouse & Lets Create at Coningsby, so plenty of opportunity to spend, spend, spend!
Anyway back to my card. The papers are both Papermania & Magnolia, both distressed with Spun Sugar DI. The corner die is a Cherry Lyn set of corners. The image is Just Inklined/La Pashe & coloured with Prismas. The ticket die is a Magnolia DoHickey & is a set of 3 tickets, complete with perforation. I love it!
The sentiment is an old See D stamp & the flowers are from stash. The little bell I bought from Hobby House, as with the ribbon. The lace is from stash though.

Carol Singing

Its time for another challenge over at Dream Valley this fortnight & this time its Non Traditional Christmas. It is sponsored by Meljens I took that to be non traditional colours & went with this card. The background paper is from one of the CDs La Pashe & Just Inklined which I recently purchased & edged with acrylic paint. I have then used a TH Cuttlebug music folder & distressed with Pumice Stone on top. The corners are Creative Expressions. The snowflakes are from my Craft Robo. Added lace, ribbon from stash. The sentiment is Magnolia. The image was from a friend, who kindly stamped it out for me ages ago, I thought it was OOh La La, but not sure, so if anyone knows who its by, I can give credit to them by altering mny description here. I am not happy with the colouring of this at all, I wanted to play with TH Inks, but have a lot more practising to do & did not have time to redo it as I am away from Thursday to Monday in a thatched cottage in Lincolnshire with 4 crafting buddies. Hence this posting is scheduled & no challenges entered at this point.

Christmas Kisses

I was rummaging around in my stamp drawer & came across this set of stamps by Elusive Images & had completely forgotten about it. We all focus on the new stuff & forget what we already own don't we?
I coloured it with Distress Ink (Pine Needles), having embossed it with green sparkly embossing powder. The papers are Papermania & are edged with Distress Ink again. I also found whilst rummaging some old mirri waste, do you remember that? Added that to the middle of the card, on top of which I put some mirri card & then some lace. Used Liquid Pearls for the mistletoe berries & flowers from stash. The sentiment is in the same stamp set.

Anything Goes at Divas

We have an Anything Goes over at Divas this week & this week is sponsored by Nitwits so once more I have made another Christmas card. This time I have used a Molly Bloom postbox & coloured with Promarkers. I have chalked around the image with black chalk, which I think gives an atmospheric addition to the scene. I have used Fluffy Stuff by Woodware for the snow effect. The paper is again a freebie from a magazine bought years ago & not used until now. The border is a snowflake Martha Stewart punch & again chalked. The postcard stamp is Papermania Portobello Road, onto which I have added letters from my stash. A ribbon bow & a pointsettia from Fred She Said completes it.

Anything Goes at Dream Valley

This fortnights challenge at Dream Valley is an easy one, its Anything Goes & is sponsored by Joanna Sheen, so lets see all your creations & dont forget to pop over to the blog & see what my fellow teamies have created for you.
My card is a quite simple one for me lol. The red BP is Papermania Home for Christmas & the top one which I love is Magnolia Holly Christmas Song, which I edged using a Martha Stewart corner punch. The image is Magnolia Tilda Singing Carols from Christmas 2009. She is coloured with Promarkers & I added some chalk to the background in a soft green. She is mounted onto an oval Nestie.
A little red ribbon & a holly sprig with another ribbon & a few dew drops complete the card. I just love this paper & didnt want to hide it lol. The sentiment was a freebie picked up on the blogs at some point.

Molly Bloom with Sparkle

I have been playing today & here is yet another Christmas card. For every 1 I make with lots of detail, I am trying to make 2 not so fussy to save on postage come the time to post for Christmas.
This time I chose Snowflake Molly from Molly Bloom Winter Wonderland collection & coloured with Promarkers. I have added some shading with my Prismas too. Woodware Fluffy Stuff has been used to make the snow on the image & I have chalked around it to give a little background colour.
The paper was from a magazine from several years ago ( I am still using some of my older stock) & I have edged it with TH Distress Ink Dusty Concord. A Martha Stewart punch was used to create the snowflake border & the card coloured with a Promarker. The snowflakes are glittered with Gold Glamour Dust & cut out using my Craft Robo.

The flowers are from stash, I have added a little more Glamour Dust onto the flowers & leaves.
At the top of the card I have hidden a tag, again edged with TH Dusty Concord & a Molly Bloom sentiment added, to which I have attached a ribbon from stash.
Can you see that gorgeous tree ribbon? This came from my visit the other day to the garden centre. I love it.

Ice Tilda

Here is another Christmas card using Ice Tilda from Christmas 2011 collection. She is coloured with Promarkers as usual and mounted onto a Marianne oval die cut. I dont think you can see in the photo, but there are little silver snowflakes stamped around her. The paper was a freebie from a magazine, found in my Christmas box, so no more info I am afraid. ( I am trying to use up some of my old stock this year) I edged the paper with white acrylic paint. Underneath the image is a Cuttlebug snowflake folder, which has been edged with a Martha Stewart snowflake border punch. I then added snowflakes cut out using my Craft Robo (UKScrappers template) & glittered with Glamour Dust.
There is also some gorgeous silver ribbon across the middle, which also has snowflakes on it.I then added a Marianne die cut tree, along with another Marianne fence, both of which I have glittered agin & added Woodware Fluffy stuff to the fence to look like snow.
A few little jewels added to the bottom right corner & lastly another Garden Centre purchase, a silver star garland, which was 99p. Its perfect for cards lol. Not quite what it was designed for, but hey ho! The sentiment was another blog freebie at some point.

Santas Coming

This is a Make It Crafty image called Jolly Santa which is coloured with Promarkers. The green paper is The Paper Mill shop & the red is Papermania Home For Christmas. Both are edged with a glitter pen. His fur is Woodware Fluffy stuff. The sentiment is Magnolia Santas Coming to Town. The green ivy is a garland I bought from the local garden centre & thought it would look good on cards. How many others have done that? My friend & I walked around the Christmas section last Thursday & bought stuff to go on our cards not the trees lol!!

The berries are another purchase from the garden centre. The roses are Grafton Crafts, as is the gold berries too. The poinsettia is last years stock. All finished off with another garden centre purchase.
